The summer has set in deep. Between sweet reunions with family and friends, playing tourist in the city I love (Charleston), boat rides, and a trip to the Bahamas, I have been painting away. Up in my little studio with windows overlooking the Wando River here in Awendaw, South Carolina, I have found heaps of happiness. Of course, I’ve always painted, but as I was thinking and praying in the spring, I decided I really must dive into it more seriously. I adore it; and to me it feels like I am doing what I am meant to do with a brush in my hand. It brings me fulfillment to create what does not already exist, and to put the visions of my imagination onto canvas. For me, being surrounded by all the paintings you see on this site has brought excitement and peace. The paintings themselves have become my little friends, and I hope to share them as yours, too. Here’s to the start of something I have dreamt of for a long time – to have an avenue of launching my artwork.
